The Virgin Queen

Some coworkers and I recently took a Myers Briggs personality test to see what we could discover about ourselves and each other. My results said I'm an ISTJ, Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging. Of the four categories the test places personalities in, I fall under "Guardian."

That characterization is pretty spot-on. I feel a great sense of responsibility for the things and people placed in my care ... sometimes to my detriment. I don't open up quickly, but once I do and you're in my close circle, I am fiercely loyal and protective. Though I don't desire the limelight or a top leadership position, I feel within myself the strength and determination to be a great leader.

It's probably why I love this photo of Cate Blanchett from The Golden Age, where she's playing Queen Elizabeth. Called "The Virgin Queen" because she never married, Elizabeth I was a fierce and passionate yet sensitive and feminine leader. I have this photo hanging in my bathroom to remind me every day to be that kind of woman.

What's your personality type? How does knowing your type inspire you to be better?
