Snow Patrol

I've been listening to the latest Snow Patrol album, Fallen Empires, nonstop for the past few weeks. I haven't listened to them much since Final Straw. I thought they were kind of stuck in a rut for a while, all their songs sounding the same, without much imagination in the lyrics. But this album has some pleasant surprises ... dancey tunes, somber tunes, and while still mainstream enough to appeal to a pop-rock crowd, the lyrics have depth. Or maybe it's just a case of me finding myself in them at this moment in time ... or in Gary Lightbody's lovely tenor voice.

In any case, who doesn't want to ballroom dance/fly to a beautiful rock song?
